The application is designed to scan QR codes and RFID tags, allowing devices to be registered quickly and efficiently within the application. This functionality ensures easy and error-free capture of equipment information and relevant equipment events.

One of the outstanding features of the application is its offline functionality. In situations where no internet connection is available, data can still be captured and stored. Once the application is back online, all collected information can be manually synchronized with the central database and sent to Vespland. This ensures continuous and seamless documentation of the equipment history.
Enhanced data collection using the Asset Collector.
Devices without QR codes or RFID tags can also be added to the application. This is possible through the integrated AssetCollector tool, a component of the app that elevates data collection and management to a new level. Developed by TUEG Schillings GmbH in collaboration with Setin GmbH, the AssetCollector uses AI technology to photograph nameplates in the field using an Ex-Handy device and automatically transfer the contained data into a database. This tool has been integrated into Vespland Mobile through collaboration, enabling automatic extraction of relevant information from a captured photo.
When a nameplate is photographed, the AssetCollector automatically recognizes details such as manufacturer, serial number, type, and ATEX number. This minimizes manual effort and enhances the accuracy of captured data. The recognized information is input directly into the application, significantly speeding up the inventory process. This ensures consistent and error-free data management.
Intuitive user interface and comprehensive device management
The Vespland application is intuitively designed, allowing employees to be quickly trained and immediately utilize its advanced features. This user-friendly interface enables tracking of the entire lifecycle of a device. The following actions can be captured with the mobile application:
- On-site capture: Recording new devices directly at the point of use.
- Storage: Documenting the storage of a device.
- Installation: Recording the installation of a device.
- Removal: Record when a device is removed.
- Scrap: Note when a device is scrapped.
These actions allow for the quick and secure documentation of the various cycles a device undergoes. Furthermore, the application ensures that all pertinent information remains current and easily accessible. With our action module, the app is expanded with additional features for conducting inspections and generating inspection reports. This will enable users to fill out inspection reports directly on the tablet, transmit them to Vespland, store them, and print them out. In a future release, there are plans to launch the app not only for Android and Windows but also for iOS.
